This past we went camping with my side of the family. We all had a great time. We went to Indian Creek Campground in the Manti-La Sal Mountains. One thing that we learned about camping with Maddison is that we need to bring a lot more clothes than what we think. That girl just loves getting dirty, head-to-toe dirty. Not a big deal because that is what you do when you go camping. I was out one morning beating a pair of her jeans on a big rock just to get all the dust and dirt off so she could wear those jeans again. This huge dirt pile was probably all of the kids favorite. They had so much fun. Kristen brought the huge work trucks that they could drive all over in the dirt and push down the dirt pile. I brought some of Maddison's dinosaurs, which they had a blast with in the dirt as well. After having a water fight with squirt guns, they realized that they could fill up a bucket with water on their own and make mud. So Maddison made me some mud dinner and then of course they had to cover one of the dinosaurs with mud.
If you look carefully you can spot a deer. We saw a lot of deer. There were 2 that came real close to our camp, this is such one. Oh, actually there was another that was just in the field behind us. Maddison and Britton decided that they wanted to catch it. So while we were sitting around the campfire just before it got dark, Britton and Maddison took off running in the field to catch this deer. It was priceless watching those 2. They actually got pretty close but then it heard Britton step on a twig and it took off over the fence. It was so funny. Us adults had a great time watching them.
All of the kids really enjoyed having Chase around. Well, all of us did but the kids enjoyed tackling him.
This is the huge rock that was in our site. Of course a prime place for the kids to climb. The only one missing is Abbi. She was probably napping.
I don't know why but I love this picture. Maybe because it is Daddy and Daughter. They were getting ready to go four-wheeling and they just filled up the camel-back. Maddison loves that thing. We love it too especially because we know she will drink enough water from it to not get dehydrated.
Waiting for everyone else to get ready so they can go. There were some fun trails to go on with the four-wheelers. One of the days of camping some of us went Geo-Caching. I had never done that before but it was a lot of fun. The kids had a great time "treasure-hunting".
Playing a game of horseshoes.
Britton and Tate getting ready to go. When I went to take this picture Tate was saying "Cheese!" I thought it was so funny hence the fact that you can't even see him smiling.
All-in-all we had a blast. I was able to get my hike in which is what I wanted to do and Geoff was able to go fishing quite a bit, which is what he wanted to do. Oh yes, and of course Maddison was able to get as dirty as possible, which I am sure is what she wanted to do. Being that this was Abigail's first time camping, she had a good time. She slept a lot better than we thought she would and she really enjoyed herself. Oh, and she loved having Braeden around to play with too.

How did she go potty? I am new to this PT thing so I am just curious if you brought a little potty or if she went in the outhouse or whatever?
Hey read my blog and you are tagged to do what i did. The first question is what were you doing ten years ago.
Heather, your blog is so cute. You will have to teach me some things. Your camping trip looks like so much fun!
